However, the absence of a reliable canal system has cast a long shadow of water scarcity. This scarcity permeates every aspect of life, affecting livelihoods and dreams. Taaluq Foundation understands the urgency of the situation, and through the Water for Life Project, we strive to be the bridge over troubled waters.

Turning Drops into Dreams: Water Facilities that Transform Lives

Water facilities are not just taps and wells; they are lifelines. They quench thirst, nurture crops, and breathe life into communities. Through safe and quality community hand pumps, and water wells, we aim to meet the critical water demands for both sustenance and prosperity. With each facility, we directly impact 500 souls, and indirectly touch the lives of 2000 more. Addressing Pakistan’s Infant Mortality Rate

Pakistan unfortunately bears the highest infant mortality rate globally, a fact highlighted by UNICEF’s data source. According to the Economic Survey 2019-20, the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) stands at 57.2 per 1,000 live births in Pakistan source. Factors such as malnutrition, acute respiratory infections, and diarrheal diseases contribute significantly to this alarming rate. Additionally, inadequate access to skilled pediatricians and unregulated non-hospital deliveries in rural areas pose further risks to both newborns and mothers. In 2019, UNICEF reported 399,418 children under the age of 5 lost their lives in Pakistan.

Bridging the Gap in Healthcare Accessibility

Private hospitals, while equipped with diagnostic and pediatric facilities, often come with unaffordable costs for low-income families. Charity hospitals, on the other hand, face overwhelming demand, limited resources, and facilities. Ta’aluq Foundation steps in to address this critical gap. At Surraya Health Care, we offer specialized care to critically ill patients, with a focus on women and children. Our team of qualified medical practitioners, supported by dedicated paramedic staff, ensures every patient receives the care they need.

In the heart of Memon Goth, nestled within the humble village of Bachal Bagh, exists a place where approximately 4,500 to 5,000 residents call home. This community is often overlooked by those more fortunate, and sadly, the government has shown minimal interest in its well-being.

Here, basic amenities like electricity and gas are nonexistent, and the water supply relies on boreholes. The majority of the residents are laborers, with women often working from home, engaging in tasks such as sewing and embroidery, while the men labor for daily wages.

In 2019, the Surraya Foundation team recognized the dire need for sustenance due to widespread food scarcity in the area. Witnessing the prevailing darkness of ignorance, they embarked on the journey of establishing a branch of the Surraya Schooling System. The primary objective was not only to provide nourishment but also to impart education to the children who came seeking food.

The Surraya Foundation envisions a brighter future for the nation through the Surraya Schooling System, not just by eradicating illiteracy but by fostering creativity and development through education. Their mission is to contribute to the progress and prosperity of the country, rather than simply alleviating hunger.

Thanks to the grace of Allah and the relentless efforts of the foundation, nearly 200 students have received both religious and worldly education in this region. This is a place where, if you were to inquire about Islamic verses or prayer from the parents, approximately 60% may struggle to provide accurate answers. However, when posed to the students of Surraya School, you’ll receive far more satisfying responses.

In a stroke of good fortune, a spacious and optimal piece of land has been secured in a prime location. The area is substantial enough to accommodate a complete school with all the necessary facilities. Here, not only has the foundation initiated the beginning of an educational system but also a hub of goodness and generosity. In the near future, this land will house a school where all the conveniences of a high-quality educational institution will be available.

This upcoming institution will be a beacon of hope, offering much more than just education; it will provide an environment where children can thrive. It will be a school where the promise of a brighter future takes root, and where all the essential elements of a successful educational journey will be nurtured.
