Thar is the section of Pakistan which is often hit by dryness as there are no rains over the years and the scarcity of water is the main thing. In the track of this, we have begun to dig 40 origins in 40 different communities of Thar which on completion will not just give clean drinking water to almost every human but also animals and birds. This emergent need for Drinking water, Taaluq foundation will dig 40 water well in villages of Tharparkar where there are no wells. These wells will produce safe drinking water to 12000 persons of 40 villages at their doorsteps. The cultural life of villagers is also restricted due to the lack of sufficient water. This especially affects women, who are responsible for stocking water. Young children often have to sacrifice education due to the responsibility of obtaining water
The district of Tharparkar, spread over 22,000 square km is an affected area with a lack of water, and water deficiency is a major problem in the area. In Tharparkar, dug-wells have been determined to be the only sustainable cause of groundwater.
